Cameron Qiao

Cameron Qiao (she/her) is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she studied Psychology, Studio Art, and earned a Certificate in Arts in Medicine. In college, she discovered the potential of the arts to promote well-being while painting with pediatric patients in the local hospital. She found that art offered an enjoyable past-time for patients and their families, a distraction from their role as patient, and a form of self-expression and identity exploration. She created The Portrait Project, originally a student organization, with her friend Grace with the goal of supporting her local community through visual art. Cameron aspires to become a dentist, a career that will allow her to combine her love for art and healthcare.
